It’s not just chocolate! Wrapping paper, pies, cookies and other early holiday necessities. You have to make money to spend money so please help your PTA by participating in our Fall fundraiser.
Fall Family Get Together - Vosburgh Brewing
Join your Mill Road School Community for an evening of casual fun and hanging at one of our incredible local breweries. Parents have been asking for this type of adult event at a great local spot that can accommodate our kiddos.
Come and go as you like from 5:30 - 8:30pm. We’ll have a bake sale, yard games and food and beverages for purchase from Vosburgh Brewery. A portion of adult beverage sales will be donated to the Mill Road PTA!
Plus, come and learn more about passive sources of income for your PTA such as Box Tops and Hannaford School Bucks. These systems have evolved and there’s significant income for us to generate if you can contribute a very small amount of time.

Fire Prevention Week - Fire Department Visit
Mill Road students will enjoy a visit from our local fire department. Mill Road PTA will provide refreshments for the firefighters that serve our community.
School Pictures
Upstate Images will capture your children in all their glory! PTA sponsored fall school pictures.
Would you like to be a volunteer at picture day? It’s pretty fun to hang around and chat up your kids’ friends while meeting other parents! Plus make sure the littles look tidy for their pictures!

Mill Road students will honor our local veterans. PTA to sponsor refreshments for veterans in attendance.
Poinsettia Sale - PTA FUNDRAISER
Mill Road PTA late fall fundraiser. We all need a poinsettia or two or five!

POINSETTIA PICK UP - TBD but estimated for December 2nd -THERE WILL NOT BE ANOTHER PICK UP TIME AVAILABLE.
WE CANNOT HOLD ORDERS. ANY UNCLAIMED POINSETTIAS WILL BE DONATED!
Scholastic Book Fair
The much anticipated Scholastic Book Fair returns, sponsored by Mill Road PTA. Your child will visit the fair during their regular, weekly library time. Fliers will be sent out via kid mail with more details about books and how to pay. Each classroom teacher is provided $50 to spend at the fair and a percentage of sales from the Scholastic Book Fair provides a “kitty” that funds additional in classroom materials.
The Scholastic Book Fair is a really big undertaking for the Mill Road PTA. We need volunteers for 5 days to support this program. This is NOT a fundraiser. The Mill Road PTA does not make money from the Scholastic Book Fair. Our children love this program (I did too as a child).

Spring Fundraiser - Damn Good Honey & Taste Budd’s
NEW - LOCAL FUNDRAISER!!!
We’re giving this a try this year. We will be selling products from two great local businesses, Taste Budd’s Cafe (Red Hook) and Damn Good Honey Farm (Kerhonkson). Selling local products (verses products from established fundraising companies) requires significantly more time and resources (volunteers) from our PTA family. Please check back for volunteers opportunities to assist with this fundraiser pick up.

School Supplies Fundraiser
Buy your school supplies for next year! Don’t spend your summer searching for glue sticks and crayons. Order school supplies now and all the items on your child’s supply list will be delivered to their classroom before next school years orientation.
This is not a major fundraiser for the Mill Road PTA, we don’t make much money. But you as a parent definitely benefit from time saved.
It’s too easy to say no to this!
Reading Incentive Wrap Up Event
Mill Road PTA supports an event that celebrates the reading accomplishments of all students. This year’s theme is “TBD”! Part of the day will be dedicated to fun activities for all the students. Volunteers will be needed to assist with games.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
An event to show our appreciation to the teachers and staff at Mill Road School, hosted and sponsored by the PTA. A truly beloved event!

Field Day
Possibly the most anticipated event of the year! Students get outside, move their bodies, probably get wet, and just have fun as a way to wrap up a great year! PTA provides monetary support for this exciting day!
5th Grade Graduation
A celebration for our 5th graders who are moving on to the middle school next year. We would appreciate volunteer assistance from our 4th grade families to make this event a success. PTA sponsored.
